Tashlich: the casting away of sins

The Elmhurst-Jackson Heights Kehillah, and Kehillat Tikvah: A Jewish Community of Hope,  invite you to participate in the ceremony of  Tashlich, a longstanding Jewish practice around the New Year, where the previous year’s sins are symbolically “cast off” into a large body of water.

Special ceremony conducted by Rabbi Laurie Gold. Admission is free.

Sunday, October 9, 3 p.m. Flushing Meadow Park

Directions:

From the Grand Central Pkwy East,
 Take exit 10E to the LIE Eastbound.
 Take the exit to Van Wyck Expy South/Kennedy Airport.
 Take the exit toward Flushing Meadows Corona Rd/69 Rd/Jewel Ave
 Merge R onto Meadow Lake Rd West.

Continue to follow Meadow Lake as it bears right, all the way around the lake,
past two ballfields and back to the west side (next to the Grand Central.)
 The parking lot will be just before Ballfield #15.
 
This trip takes ca. 10 minutes.
