Hanukkah is coinciding this year with Thanksgiving (last time it happened was in 1888) and we now have a new name for it, Thanksgivukah! Since many people are very busy or away on Thanksgiving, we are having our celebration a little early. So come and prepare for the holiday. Everyone is welcome!
• Music and more by Rachel and Stephen Figurasmith, Jewish educators and song leaders
• Make Menorahs with Karen Wellington (for children and adults)
• Make edible dreidels.
We will provide a light supper, Hanukkah gelt and more. We will also learn a song or two for the Candle lighting ceremony in front of the Post Office, December 1.
Suggested donation $10 members, $15 non-members, children are free. This is a much needed fundraiser for our congregation, with admission on a “more if you can, less if you can’t” basis. Donate online in advance if you wish. Tax receipts will be available.
