Simchat Torah, October 16, 6 p.m.

The Jewish Center of Jackson Heights has invited Kehillat Tikvah to celebrate Simchat Torah on Thursday evening, October 16, 2014 at 6 PM.

Simchat Torah, which means “Rejoicing in the Torah”, marks the completion of the annual cycle of Torah readings.  On Simchat Torah, we read the last Torah portion, then proceed immediately to the first chapter of Genesis, reminding us that the Torah is a circle, and never ends. It is a time of great celebration.

The service will be held at the  Jewish Center, 37-06 77th Street, Jackson Heights. Everyone is welcome!
